A single mom support ministry
The Concept
M.O.M.S. ministry began in 1996 with the following vision statement:
Develop a small group community for single mothers, with will:
1. Include a Bible study particular to their needs
2. Be a safe place.
3. Improve prayer life.
4. Share their faith, joys, sorrows, and concerns.
5. Develop Christian friendships within the group.
6. Learn to better meet their own needs and reach out to meet the needs of others.
The Community
M.O.M.S. ministry brings together those with a common thread, a community of women all trying to meet the challenges of life as a single mom.
Each night with M.O.M.S. begins with joining together for food, as a meal is provided.
The meal is followed by a time of faith and fellowship through Bible study for moms. It is a time to come together to discuss topics relating to every day life, while developing friendships and showing support to each other.
The kids enjoy a program specifically created for their needs. The program uses fun crafts, games, puppets, skits, snacks, videos, music, Bible stories and a few special surprises, too. There is also the Junior Cadets program available for boys.
Come once, come every time we meet - there is something for everyone, including fun planned special events over the course of the year as well!
